Some Favorite Places

Riomaggiore (in Cinque Terre, Italy)

One of my favorite places is Riomaggiore, a small village on the coast of Italy. During the summer between my freshman and sophomore years of college, I had the opportunity to take a class in Arezzo, which is in the heart of Tuscany. With a free weekend to travel, we decided to visit this beautiful village! I will never forget sitting on the rocks at the edge of the coast, watching the sun set over the Mediterranean.

Crested Butte, Colorado

Another of my favorite places resides in Colorado. Since I was young, I have loved going to the mountains. Snowboarding is one of my favorite things! Several close friends own a condo in Crested Butte, so I have been able to travel there in recent years. The snow and mountains are breathtaking in the winter and just as beautiful in the summer!

  1. What a great combination of places, Jake! Things are so small and beautiful in Cinque Terre, and so big and beautiful in Colorado! The images did not come up here, and it looks like they are not coming up in your Storybook Favorites post, so take a look at this page about inserting images into Blogger posts and see if that helps:
Upload the Images You Use in Blogger

The idea is to grab a copy of the image you want to use by saving it to your computer (like on your desktop), and then upload it to Blogger. When you do your Introduction, you'll definitely want an image in there, so that will be a good post to use for figuring that out.

  2. Wow, I love Crested Butte too! My family has gone skiing a couple of times and we almost always go to Crested Butte!! I have never been to Italy but it has most definitely on my list of places to go. It sounds amazing!
