Week 8 Progress
Looking Back
I am fairly pleased with my progress thus far! I am not as far ahead in the course as I would like to be, but I have been able to complete some extra credit here and there in order to be in a position where I feel comfortable. The weekly schedule has worked out great so far! I like being able to space out the assignments throughout the entire week so that it doesn't feel like I'm doing them all at the same time. Leaving the project for the weekends has also been helpful because it allows me some time at the end of the week to brainstorm and plan the layout. Out of all the assignments, I think I am enjoying the storybook the most! I have been able to work on such a fun topic with Peter Pan, and I'm looking forward to the upcoming developments in the story. Some of the extra credit options have worked seamlessly with this project, particularly being able to use Barrie's original book for my extra credit reading each week!
Looking Forward
Something I want to be a little bit better about as we approach the second half of the semester is getting more ahead on assignments. The next couple weeks will be busy with interviews and papers in other classes, but by the beginning of November I would like to start completing more assignments for future weeks. So far, I have been pretty consistent with turning in assignments the day that they are due. Though there isn't necessarily anything wrong with this, I would like to start planning out my assignments so that I can finish them early. This may include getting ahead on reading and storytelling, or perhaps just getting my storybook stories done early. Hopefully I can plan in such a way so that I will be able to finish the class a little bit early!

This image is particularly motivational for the rest of the semester because I will be graduating in December! I can't wait! However, I (hopefully) will have a lot of school in front of me, with medical school still to go. This is just the beginning of the road! Regardless, it is much easier to focus on work and be diligent about assignments for classes knowing that undergrad is so close to being done.
